Portugal

Portugal is a sweet boy who had a rough start in life. He came to CDHA from a hoarding situation and his life was limited to being in a crate.  He is now learning what it’s like to be part of a family. Since arriving at his foster home in early July, his personality is starting to show. He is playful and should have a home with a canine companion who can show him the ropes. He LOVES meal time and will encourage his foster parents to speed up the process by “talking” while all the bowls are prepared! He knows how to use a doggy door and let’s himself out into his foster’s fenced yard.

Portugal was not used to the human touch but is learning that humans can be ok. Each week that passes, he becomes more comfortable. He needs a forever home where the humans will be patient and allow him to come to them willingly. Portugal is learning he likes this new life!   Although Portugal does occasionally mark, the frequency has decreased and we hope he will stop marking altogether after he is neutered.

Portugal is scheduled to be neutered on September 2.  He should be ready for his forever home around September 9.  If you think you can offer this boy the home he has always deserved, please write cdhadogs@gmail.com.
