Kili is a male, neutered Australian Shepherd (mix?). He is about 7 years old and weighs about 25 pounds. He will sometimes play fetch but prefers running for the joy of running, just in a loop around the lawn. He has been taking a mid-morning walk each day to make sure he gets enough exercise. He does well on a leash. A fenced yard or local dog park would be a plus.
He enjoys baby carrots, green beans, broccoli, kale, and cauliflower stems, and cut up apples. Put them in a Kong with a small piece of string cheese to ‘glue’ the veggies in there! The extra roughage helps him stay “regular”.
Kili and the resident dog in his temporary home have been cordial. He would be fine being the only dog in the home. We don’t know how he would be around cats. He hasn’t been around children.
